Responsibility
Responsibility
Novapolis is committed to the principles of responsibility and sustainability. Special attention has been paid to energy efficiency, water reduction, healthy working environment and indoor air quality in our premises. Our buildings favour low-emission materials and have made waste recycling easy for our customers. Our location, along well-functioning public transport links and good cycling routes, enables sustainable mobility for all those arriving at our premises.
Our newest sites are using environmentally friendly district cooling. The production of cooling is based on lake water from the Kallavesi deep water in the Neulalahti depths. This solution significantly reduces environmental strain compared to conventional cooling solutions.
Certified LEED Gold environmentally friendly facilities
We are proud to provide our customers with internationally recognised LEED-certified facilities. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely used global system for the environmental classification of buildings, with a strong strength of uniform criteria and comparability throughout the world.
The LEED application for certification is reviewed and issued by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The real estate certification process ensures sustainable development throughout the construction project. An external assessment of the certification will ensure that the building is designed, constructed and operated appropriately.
Our premises at Viestikatu 7 and the U- and T-parts at Microkatu have been granted LEED Gold certification. These facilities are designed to meet the requirements of the certificate.
